Type locality: Vietnam

Type host: Muntiacus muntjak

Comments: Keirans & Clifford (1984) did not specify the developmental stage of the specimen of Haemaphysalis lagrangei deposited in the USNTC, but all the paralectotypes are male ticks ( Trapido, 1965) .
