Type locality: Myitkyina area , Myanmar
Type host: Centropus bengalensis bengalensis
Current status: a synonym of Haemaphysalis doenitzi , as listed in Hoogstraal & Wassef (1973) and Camicas et al. (1998).
Comments: in their catalog of BMNH tick types, Keirans & Hillyard (2001) did not list specimens of Haemaphysalis centropi .
