Type depository: IZAS: holotype (male) and paratypes (a male and females)

Type locality: Pallas , Hashi District, Xinjiang, China

Type host: Cricetulus migratorius

Comments: the holotype molted from a nymph that had fed on Cricetulus migratorius . Deng et al. (1999) treated Anomalohimalaya cricetuli as a synonym of Anomalohimalaya lotozky , and Chen et al. (2010) did not include this species as a Chinese tick, but it is regarded as valid in Guglielmone et al. (2014, 2020, 2023).
