Comments: Kolonin (2009) doubted the validity of Ixodes cornuatus , while Camicas et al. (1998) treated Ixodes cornuatus Roberts, 1960 as a preoccupied name, although that decision was not accepted by Guglielmone et al. (2009), Guglielmone & Nava (2014) and others.
