Feeds on
In Bulgaria, adults and immatures were collected on Fraxinus ornus L. ( Lauterer 1979), which is the only confirmed host plant species for P. meliphila ( Conci and Tamanini 1990) .
Distribution
General distribution. Southern parts of Central and south-eastern Europe ( Conci and Tamanini 1990). Distribution in Bulgaria (Fig. 42 View Figure 42 ). Published records: Bulgaria, without locality data ( Maryańska-Nadachowska 2002), ROM, ROP, RPP, RPR ( Lauterer 1979, Głowacka 1989). Material examined: BN, BS, ROM, ROP, ROT, ROV, RPP, RPR.
Diagnosis
Adult. Loginova (1971), Conci and Tamanini (1990). Fifth-instar immature. Rapisarda (1998).
