Diagnosis. Close related to P. rondonia sp. nov. and P. serrulata sp. nov. with anterior lobe of pronotal disk with wide yellowish orange transverse fascia not reaching the anterolateral borders; corium below claval commissure with wide yellowish orange transverse fascia; coxae, trochanters and femora yellow; and propleura entirely metallic green. In P. sucumbiosa sp. nov., the abdominal sternite IV is metallic green with anterior half of pleural margin yellowish orange in the other species are entirely yellowish orange.
Description. Holotype female. Body length 18.92. Head length 2.40; width across eyes 2.30; interocular distance 1.22; interocellar distance 0.57; preocular distance 1.42; length antennal segments: I, 4.00; II, 4.65; III, 3.50; IV 6.35; pronotum: total length 2.70; width across humeral angles 5.55; scutellum: length 2.10; width 2.25.
Dorsal coloration. Head metallic green with short yellow spot behind each ocelli; antennal segments I–III black with metallic green and purple reflections, IV dull black; pronotum with collar, calli, anterolateral borders and posterior lobe metallic green; anterior lobe with wide yellowish orange transverse fascia not reaching the anterolateral borders; scutellum and clavus metallic green; apex of claval commissure yellow; corium metallic green with wide yellowish transverse fascia below claval commissure and reaching costal borders; hemelytral membrane black with bluish green veins; connexival segment III and anterior half of IV yellowish orange; posterior half of IV and connexival segments V–IX black with metallic green reflections; dorsal abdominal segments III–V orange, VI– X black. Ventral coloration. Head metallic green with short yellow spot at each side of midline, near collar; rostral segment I metallic green, II–IV black; pro-, meso-, and metasternum, anterior and posterior lobe of metathoracic peritreme, inner margin of acetabulae, coxae, trochanters, femora and abdominal sternite III yellowish orange; pro-, meso-, and metapleura and abdominal sterna V–IX metallic green; abdominal sternite IV metallic green with anterior third of pleural margin yellowish orange.
Structure. Head. Rostrum reaching middle third of abdominal sternite IV. Thorax. Humeral angles with short acute spine directed outward.
Variation. 1, rostral segment II black with posterior half dark orange. 2, rostral segment III dark orange. 3, dorsal abdominal segments III–VII orange, VIII–IX orange with posterior margin brown with metallic green reflections.
Male. Unknown.
Etymology. This species is named after the type locality, Sucumbios.
