Phthiarella nubecula Brailovsky and Barrera , new species

Diagnosis. Near to P. dedita sp. nov. by having the coxae, trochanters, femora, tibiae and tarsi black with metallic bluish or green reflections; corium with wide orange to yellowish orange transverse fascia close to midline; and abdominal sternite III entirely metallic green. In P. nubecula sp. nov., the pronotum is black with metallic green and bluish reflections and with wide orange to yellowish orange transverse fascia absent in P. dedita sp. nov.
Description. Holotype male. Body length 17.22. Head length 2.30; width across eyes 2.25; interocular distance 1.23; interocellar distance 0.52; preocular distance 1.32; length antennal segments: I, 4.40; II, 4.60; III, 3.40; IV 6.70; pronotum: total length 2.75; width across humeral angles 5.15; scutellum: length 2.05; width 2.25.
Dorsal coloration. Head metallic green with short yellow spot behind each ocelli; antennal segments I–II black with metallic bluish green reflections, III–IV dull black to dark brown; pronotum with collar, calli, and anterolateral borders metallic green; anterior lobe with wide orange to yellowish orange transverse fascia not reaching the anterolateral borders; posterior lobe and scutellum black with bluish reflections; clavus black with bluish reflections; apex of claval commissure yellow; corium black with bluish reflections, and wide yellowish orange transverse fascia near midline and behind claval commissure, and reaching costal margins; hemelytral membrane dark brown; connexival segments III–VII metallic green; dorsal abdominal segments III–V orange, VI–VII metallic green. Ventral coloration. Head metallic green; rostral segment I metallic green, II–IV black; pro-, and mesosternum dark yellow; metasternum metallic green with lateral and posterior borders dark yellow; pro-, meso-, and metapleura metallic green; anterior and posterior lobe of metathoracic peritreme dark yellow; evaporative area black; coxae, trochanters, femora and tibiae black with metallic green reflections; tarsi black; abdominal sterna III–VII, pleural margins III–VII and genital capsule metallic green.
Structure. Head. Rostrum reaching middle third of abdominal sternite IV. Thorax. Humeral angles thick at base, tapering into short acute spine. Genital capsule. Posteroventral edge gently sinuate, lateral angles rounded, slightly folded inward. Parameres. Figs. 100‒103.
Female. Body length 19.40. Head length 2.50; width across eyes 2.35; interocular distance 1.30; interocellar distance 0.57; preocular distance 1.32; length antennal segments: I, 4.03; II, 4.57; III, 3.20; IV 6.62; pronotum: total length 2.95; width across humeral angles 5.60; scutellum: length 2.25; width 2.40.
Color and habitus similar to male holotype. Connexival segments VIII–IX, dorsal abdominal segments VIII–IX, abdominal sterna III–VII and genital plates metallic green; metasternum dark yellow.
Etymology. From the Latin word “ nubecula ”, meaning cloud.
Type locality. Brazil, Rondonia .
