Diagnosis. Related to P. decorata (Stål) in having at the anterior lobe of pronotal disk a wide yellow transverse fascia and near midline of corium below claval commissure a wide yellow transverse fascia; coxae and trochanter yellowish orange, and femora black with basal joint yellowish orange. In P. decorata the abdominal sterna III-IV are yellowish orange and in P. viridiventris (Blöte) entirely metallic green.

Description. Holotype male. Body length 18.83. Head: length 2.30; width across eyes 2.30; interocular distance 1.25; interocellar distance 0.57; preocular distance 1.40; length antennal segments: I 4.48, II, 4.80, III, 3.40, IV, 6.68; pronotum: total length 3.05; maximum width across humeral angles 5.53; scutellum: length 2.25; width 2.40.

Dorsal coloration. Head metallic bluish green with short yellow spot behind each ocelli; antennal segments I–II dark brown scattered with metallic bluish green reflections, III–IV dark brown; pronotum with collar, calli, anterolateral borders and humeral angles black with metallic green reflections; posterior lobe black scattered with bluish purple reflections; anterior lobe with wide yellowish orange transverse fascia not reaching the anterolateral borders; scutellum black; clavus black with bluish metallic reflections; corium black with bluish metallic reflections and with complete wide yellow transverse fascia touching the apex of claval commissure and reaching the costal border; hemelytral membrane dark brown without bluish green reflections; connexival segments black with upper border metallic green; dorsal abdominal segments III–IV orange, V–VII black. Ventral coloration. Head metallic bluish green with short yellow spot at each side of midline; rostral segment I metallic bluish green, II with basal half pale brown and apical half orange, III pale brown and IV black; pro-, meso-, and metasternum yellow; pro-, meso-, and metapleura metallic bluish green; inner border of meso-acetabulae and inner margin of meta-acetabulae yellowish orange; anterior and posterior lobe of metathoracic peritreme yellow; evaporatium black; coxae and trochanter yellowish orange; femora black with bluish green reflections and basally yellowish orange; tibiae brown scattered with bluish green reflections; tarsi brown; abdominal sterna III–VII and genital capsule metallic green; pleural abdominal margins III–VII metallic green.

Structure. Head. Rostrum reaching middle third of abdominal sternite IV. Thorax. Humeral angles of pronotum with short acute spine directed outward. Genital capsule. Posteroventral edge sinuate; lateral margins rounded, slightly folded inward.

Female. Unknown.

Type locality. Peru, Callanga .

Distribution. Bolivia and Peru ( Blöte, 1936, Packauskas, 2010, Coreoidea Species File, 2025). Packauskas (2010) provided a distribution for P. viridiventris and P. decorata combined. As such, the distributions herein are corrected for the respective species.

Material examined. Type material. HOLOTYPE male, PERU, Callanga. Type examined and housed at RMNH . Other material. BOLIVIA, Provincia Todos Santos, Departamento Chapare , Cochabamba, 300 MT ., X– 1956, F. Steinbach ( USNM); Songo, Yungas ( RMNH) . PERU: Cusco, Estación Biologica Villa Carmen, collected on fruit fly trap with multilure putrecine + ammonium acetate, 522 m, 12. 89454̕°S– 71.39935°W, 6–14– III –2015, T . Gonzales & M. Huaman Castro ( UNAM) 1 male .
