Diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of the subpollinosa group by having the wing slightly fuscous at tip of R4+5 ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 E), the halter yellow at base and stem, mostly dark brown at knob ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I, J), and the mid and hindleg lacking dark colored on knees.

The aforementioned characters of wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 E) and halter ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I, J) are consistent with the latest and most relevant descriptions about L. subpollinosa (from Taiwan, China in Lin & Wheeler 1972; from Thailand in Okada 1987), which are unique in the subpollinosa group. Therefore, the only female specimen was identified as L. subpollinosa to avoid further confusion.

Description. Ocellar with ca. 2 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brownish yellow. Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow. Clypeus brownish yellow. Palpus brownish yellow. Mesonotum brownish yellow, with four brownish, longitudinal stripes submedially and laterally ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I). Postpronotal brownish yellow ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 J). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 8–10 irregular rows ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I). Scutellum brown, brownish yellow at tip ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I). Pleura with a brown, longitudinal stripe above ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 J). Katepisternum and meron yellow ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 J). Wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 E): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 3–4 peg-like spinules on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 B), 2nd tergite with two pairs of yellow patches submedially and sublaterally.
