Distribution.
China, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Yemen, and Canada: AB, NB, NS, ON, QC, YT. USA: widespread outside of AK and HI. First record from Morocco.
Habitat.
Collected on the banks of a mountain river bordered by Pistacia lentiscus , Juniperus oxycedrus , Tetraclinis articulata and crossing a mixed forest dominated by Quercus suber , Pinus pinaster , and Pinus halepensis . A wide variety of shrubs and herbaceous plant species ( Prunus lusitanica , Stachys fontqueri , Paeonia coriacea , Eryngium caespitiferum , Eryngium triquetrum , Digitalis laciniata , Ptilostemon rhiphaeus , Ruscus hypophyllum , Astragalus armatus , Merendera filifolia , Viola sp. ) occupy the undergrowth.
