Collection information.
USA: Georgia: Clarke Co.: six individuals from six sites. Caught in flight trap from 25 March – 27 July 2020.
Distribution.
Eastern North America.
Saproxylic habits.
Adults occur in rotting wood and under bark, including hickory, cypress ( Cupressus L. ( Cupressaceae )), American sycamore ( Platanus occidentalis L. ( Platanaceae )), pine, and blackjack oak ( Quercus marilandica (Münchh. )) ( Ramberg 1979; Mathison 2021).
Conservation.
Significantly associated with young forests (regrown since 1938 and pine dominated) in highly forested landscapes (> 50 % forest) in the Piedmont ( Traylor et al. 2023 a).
