Stems and leaves glabrescent; stems usually 20-40 cm. Leaf-lobes not fleshy, keeled beneath, thinly lanate when young. Panicle narrow; most branches with c. 6 capitula. Capitula shortly pedunculate. Involucre 3-4 mm; outer bracts broadly scarious. 2n = 36. • Alps, 1000-2000 m \ local.
