European distribution: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Germany, Russia (European part), Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland ( ČervenÁ et al. 2020c; WPC 2024).
Notes: Chernes vicinus was found at two sampling sites in Bratislava , namely under the bark of trees and in an anthill ( ČervenÁ et al. 2020a). Its distribution in the city was extended by five new sampling sites, where specimens were found mainly under the bark of trees and once in a pitfall trap.
