Type data

The single female specimen used to describe this species was collected by the Argentinean ornithologist Juan Bautista Daguerre ( 1890–1975) at Las Lomitas, central region of Formosa Province, northeastern Argentina. The labels of the holotype are quoted verbatim.

Distribution

This species has been recorded in Argentina ( Formosa Province: Las Lomitas) ( Roig-Alsina 2000), Brazil ( Mato Grosso state: Porto Murtinho) ( Vivallo & Melo 2009; Martins et al. 2013) and Paraguay ( Boquerón Department: Toledo; San Pedro Department: Cororo) ( Vivallo & Melo 2009) ( Fig. 7 View Fig ).
