D i s t r i b u t i o n: The nominal species has been recorded from Portugal, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq. The subspecies was only known from Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and UAE ( FÜRSCH 1979, RAIMUNDO & VAN HARTEN 2000, RAIMUNDO et al. 2006, 2008)
