Current name: Aspalathus View in CoL View at ENA sp. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “pilosus” in the protologue. Dahlgren (in Opera Bot. 4: 214. 1960) noted the absence of original material and later (in Opera Bot. 9(1): 252. 1963; in Leistner, Fl. Southern Africa 16(3:6): 37. 1988) treated this as a nomen dubium. Its application is uncertain.
