Current status. Afranthidium ( Mesanthidium) pusillum ( Morawitz, 1894) View in CoL (transferred to Mesanthidium by Popov 1950: 316).

Remarks. Description of female: Mavromoustakis 1956: 221, as Mesanthidium mochii Mavromoustakis, 1956 (= Anthidium pusillum Morawitz, 1894 ; according to Warncke 1980: 182).

Warncke (1980: 182) mistakenly indicated Turkmenistan as the type locality (actually Uzbekistan). Sharqiya (Banokat, Fanokat, Shahrukhiya) is an ancient city ruin (1st–18th centuries) located on the right bank of the Syrdarya, on the edge of the caravan road at the confluence of the Sharqiya (Achangaran or Angren) River with the Syrdarya .

Distribution. Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan ( Warncke 1982; Fateryga et al. 2020; Kasparek 2022).
