Notes

Isoperla holochlora is currently known as the Pale Stripetail ( Stark et al. 2012). This is a common, Appalachian-distributed species reported from Quebec and the Canadian Maritime Provinces southwest to Alabama and Georgia ( Szczytko and Kondratieff 2015, DeWalt et al. 2024). Mackay (1969) noted a univoltine-slow larval life cycle for I. holochlora in Quebec. We report an adult flight period in New York extending from early May through mid-September (Fig. 38 View Figure 38 ) with populations reported at elevations ranging from 97-866 m asl (Fig. 39 View Figure 39 ). In New York, this species was collected frequently from Level III Ecoregions Northeastern Highlands (58), Northern Allegheny Plateau (60), and Eastern Great Lakes Lowlands (83) and is likely also present in upland areas of western New York (Fig. 42 a View Figure 42 a ).
