Remarks.

Ross (1953) described Atopsyche explanata from an unspecified locality in the Cosñipata Valley in the Cuzco Department ( Peru). It has also been recorded from Puente Unión in the Cosñipata Valley ( UMSP; GBIF. org 2025). We record it for the first time from the Pasco Department, approximately 520 km northwest of Puente Unión.
