Remarks.
Sexually dimorphic for the wing pattern. Males might show slightly chromatic variation. This species exhibits a wing pattern that closely resembles that of D. lycaste . However, it may be distinguished from D. lycaste by its larger male specimens and the presence of dots on the prothoracic collar. Dysschema marginalis also has more delineated spots on the forewings and a ventrally yellow abdomen. The morphology of the male and female genitalia does not exhibit discernible distinctions across species, indicating that they constitute a cryptic species complex.
