Host plant/gall: Q. cer .—grouped monolocular galls (15–25 pieces) on catkin buds (- s -).
Distribution in Dobrogea: the forests—Canaraua Fetii Natural Reserve, Esechioi, Negru Vodӑ, Şipotele, Neptun (Comorova forest) CT county (Şchiopu, herein recorded).
World distribution: Austria, France, Italy ( Sicily) ( Dalla Torre & Kieffer, 1910), Iberian Peninsula ( Tavares, 1905; Pujade-Villar, 1985; Nieves-Aldrey, 2001), Hungary ( Melika et al., 2000), Ukraine ( Melika, 2006), Türkiye (KatılmıŞ & Kiyak, 2009), Tunisie ( Pujade-Villar et al. 2011).
