Diagnosis. Male. Length ( 1.55–2.05 mm). Width (1.00– 1.45 mm). As P. canoi except most scales ochreous, antenna inserted at middle of rostrum. Pronotum with pterygoid expansion, scales condensed at these points.

Female. Length ( 1.40–2.10 mm). Width ( 0.90–1.35 mm). Differs from those of P. canoi in having a denser condensation of scales on both sides of the pronotum.

Geographic distribution. Guatemala (San Marcos) and Mexico (Chiapas). Fig. 100 View FIGURE 100 .

Derivation of the specific name. Patronym, named after Jack Schuster, a coleopterist at Universidad del Valle in Guatemala City.
