SYNTYPE ♂: red-margined type disc; “ England ”; “BRIT. MUS . TYPE No. HEM. 393”; “ Cimex luridus Fab. Entom. n. 701.25”; “BMNH(E) #668923”. Specimen well preserved ( Fig. 99 View FIGURES 97–104 ) .

Current status: Troilus luridus ( Fabricius, 1775) (see Reuter 1881: 156; Thomas 1994: 199).
