Genus erected by Kuznetsov (1979) comprising 7 species reviewed by Kaźmierski (1981). Junior synonym of Tydeus according to André (1980: 154), junior synonym of Lorryia according to Kaźmierski (1989) and junior synonym of Brachytydeus according to André (2005: 995). Junior homonym of a mollusc, successive replacement names: Kuznetsovia and Kuznetsovvenilia. Type species: Paralorryia liberta Livshitz, 1973 .
