Monospecific subgenus of Lorryia erected by Thor (1933: 54) for Lorryia ( Melanotydaeus) raphignathoides Berlese 1910 , type species by monotypy. Division not accepted by Baker (1944: 215) and recalled in Baker (1968: 987). Again, synonymized with Lorryia by Baker (1965: 105) and with Brachytydeus by André (2005: 995).
