Opostega Zeller, 1839 View in CoL View at ENA
Opostega Zeller, 1839: 214 View in CoL . Type species: Elachista salaciella Treitschke, 1833 .
Diagnosis. Opostega Zeller is similar to Pseudopostega Kozlov, 1985 but can be distinguished by the valva without a basal process and the juxta not rod-shaped in the male genitalia, and the presence of the anterior apophyses in the female genitalia. In Pseudopostega , the valva has a distinct basal process and the juxta is rod-shaped, and the anterior apophyses is absent.
Note. Davis (1989) stated that the aedeagus was absent in the genera Opostega and Pseudopostega . Puplesis & Robinson (1999) explained that the aedeagus was indistinct because of its weak sclerotization. In this study, we found the aedeagus present in O. apicidissecta sp. nov. and absent in O. magnirotunda sp. nov., which is irrelevant to the degree of sclerotization.
