( Figs 2, 4 View FIGURES 1–4 )

Type material. Holotype. [ CHINA] ♂, Hongxin Village, Yuanmen Town , Baisha County, 445 m, Hainan, 20 iii 2016, leg. QY Wang, SR Li and SN Zhao, slide No. SH21107 . Paratypes. [ CHINA] 2♂, same data as holotype, slide No. SH 21129 .

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to O. apicidissecta sp. nov. and O. spatulella Herrich-Schäffer, 1855 in male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the tegumen-vinculum ring with a large semicircular sclerite, which is absent in O. apicidissecta and O. spatulella . It can be further distinguished from O. spatulella by the valva with the costal process hook-shaped and the juxta inflated laterally in distal 2/5 (in O. spatulella , the costal process of the valva is almost straight and the juxta is not inflated laterodistally) ( Nieukerken 1990: 368).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–4 ). Male wingspan 7.5–8.0 mm.

Head: Vertex pale brown; frons brownish yellow, surrounded by cream white scales. Maxillary palpus dark brown. Labial palpus pale yellowish brown. Antenna with scape pale yellow, flagellum dark brown. Collar pale brown.

Thorax: Mesonotum pale yellow except black anteromedially; tegula pale brown. Forewing ground color pale yellowish brown, with dark brown scales, slightly denser along costal margin in distal 1/4 and along termen; both costal and dorsal spots dark brown; costal spot at distal 1/4, dorsal spot beyond middle of dorsum; fringe pale yellowish brown, with scattered brown scales. Hindwing pale yellow; fringe pale brown. Fore- and midlegs bronzy brown; hindleg yellow except tarsus pale brown.

Abdomen: Yellowish brown.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–4 ). Uncus lobes subsemicircular, with dense setae. Tegumen-vinculum ring rounded anteriorly, with a large semicircular sclerite extending from anterior 2/7 to 3/4, connected with tegumen-vinculum ring posterolaterally. Gnathos with a shallow semicircular anterior emargination; basal arm longer than mesial plate; mesial process tapered to pointed apex. Valva with main body subovate, slightly broadened from base to pedicel, costal margin slightly concave near pedicel, ventral margin obtusely arched; costal process 0.35 × length of valva, hook-shaped, obtusely rounded at apex; pedicel wrinkled, 0.30 × length of valva; cucullar lobe 1.3 × length of pedicel; pectinifer with 21–23 blunt spines. Aedeagus absent. Juxta 0.69 × length of valva; inflated distally, slightly concave at middle apically.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin magn - and rotundus, referring to the tegumen-vinculum ring with a large semicircular sclerite.
