Distribution in Laos. Louang Namtha Province, Houaphan Province, and Xieng Khouang Province (BOLD).
Remarks. (1) Although there are no reports on records of Actias australovietnama Brechlin, 2000 from Laos, the sequences of this species from three Laotian provinces are uploaded to BOLD. (2) BOLD contains the COI sequence of the holotype (sample ID SPRBA025-08). (3) A. australovietnama seems to be a junior synonym of Actias laotiana Testout, 1936 since they are morphologically similar (see Brechlin 2000 and Testout 1936). Thus, the sequences of the specimens from Xieng Khouang may belong to the topotypes of A. laotiana .
