Remarks. (1) The first record from Laos. (2) BOLD contains the COI sequence of the holotype (sample ID SARBB1064-09). (3) The description of this species was published in a non-open access journal offering only a print edition which is not available for purchase. Therefore, based on the specimens collected from Bolaven Plateau, we present a brief redescription of the taxon, as well as illustrations of the adults of both sexes and the male genitalia ( Figs 8E–F View Figure 8 , 19H View Figure 19 ). The redescription includes only those morphological features that are barely visible in the photographs.
Brief redescription. Male morphology ( Fig. 8E View Figure 8 ): Wingspan 149 mm, forewing length 86 mm (n = 1). Head brown, greyish-white at base of antenna and having two thin light brown lines along eyes (one along each eye). Eye black-brown. Antenna quadripectinate, light brown. Labial palp very short (its length ca. 0.25 of eye diameter), dark brown. Thorax brown with dark brown band anteriorly. Patagium grey-brown with admixture of white scales. Tegula brown, dark grey-brown at base and having sparse white scales. Legs brown. Abdomen brown. Female morphology ( Fig. 8F View Figure 8 ): Wingspan 163 mm, forewing length 95 mm (n = 1). Head brown, lighter at base of antenna and having two thin light brown lines along eyes (one along each eye). Eye olive-brown. Antenna quadripectinate, light brown; rami significantly shorter than in males. Labial palp very short (its length ca. 0.5 of eye diameter), dark brown. Thorax red-brown with dark brown band anteriorly. Patagium grey-brown with admixture of white scales. Tegula red-brown, dark grey-brown at base and having sparse white scales. Legs red-brown. Abdomen red-brown.
