Habitat. Sandy beach with seagrass bed, reef flat, intertidal to 45 m.

Distribution. Wide distribution in the Indo-Pacific.

Indonesia: Maluku and Lombok.

Remarks. The pale green or light brown color of the chelipeds and ambulatory legs, the whitish cream with dark brown band medially to bright green corneas of the ocular peduncles, and the sea anemones that this species often carries on its gastropod shells are the perfect camouflage in its habitat.
