Other published localities: Salman (1983), Massa (1994), Tumbrinck (2006), Ünal (2006).
Distribution: This species is represented in Cyprus, Turkey and Syria. The mainland part of the range covers the most southern part of Turkey ( Gaziantep and Hatay provinces) and nearby territories of Syria ( Latakia).
Remarks: The most important autapomorphies of Eupholidoptera cypria are the typical triangular and apically pointed lobes of female subgenital plate. Salman (1983) discovered a population possessing this typical characteristic in Turkey and described it as a different subspecies ( Eupholidoptera cypria turcica Salman, 1983: 328 ). During this study some specimens from Latakia, Syria showing characteristics of the Anatolian population were examined in NHM.
