Distribution: Contrary to other species in the genus, this species has a relatively large range in the southern Taurus within the borders of Mersin, Konya and Isparta provinces. The population in the northern part ( Konya and Isparta) shows some differences from that in the south ( Mersin) (compare figure A and B in Figures 88, 220). However, these regional populations do not deserve to be defined as separate species, but subspecies level classification is not considered.
