Comments
This species is similar to C. pellucidus (Huang) in having antenna with F2, F3 and C3 white, but can be easily separated from the latter by the following characters: pedicel longer than F1, three funicular segments with dimensions differing from those of C. pellucidus ; mid lobe of mesoscutum with a large anchor-shaped dark brown marking; mesoscutellum largely dark brown; the tergites of the gaster with different dark brown markings; fore wing with pale area bearing fine pale setae apically and below marginal vein near 1/3 width of disk, setae on the anterior margin of the marginal vein not white.
This species also resembles C. yunnana Wang, Huang & Polaszek sp. nov. in having the mid lobe of mesoscutum with a large anchor-shaped dark brown marking and fore wing with a pale area bearing fine pale setae, and infuscated area with short black brown setae on an infuscate background. It can be distinguished from C. yunnana Wang, Huang & Polaszek sp. nov. by the latter having the clava entirely brown-black, in addition to other characters discussed below in the description of C. yunnana .
