Distribution. Afrotropical: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde Is., DR Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, Seychelles (Aldabra), South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Yemen ( Socotra); Australasian: New Caledonia; Oriental: China ( Taiwan), India, Indonesia, Japan (Ryukyu Is.), Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka; Palaearctic: Egypt, Israel. This widespread species was recorded from Burundi (Imbo region) by Grichanov (2004).
