Andean forest with emphasis on gaques
The Clusiaceae family has a wide distribution in the tropics and is often used in traditional medicine to treat health issues such as hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, headaches, syphilis, infant oral candidiasis, rheumatism, and as an analgesic ( Anholeti et al. 2015). At the JBB, this family is represented in an area of 475 m ² with species such as Clusia multiflora Kunth , Clusia orthoneura Standl. , and Clusia magnifolia Cuatrec. ( Fig. 1Y View FIG ).
