ETYMOLOGY
Latin: which bears deletions.
SIZE
Previous records: 15–28 mm; Kuzikus specimens (n=8): 16.5–27.5 mm.
PERIOD OF ADULT ACTIVITY
March to May and October to December; in Kuzikus: January.

DISTRIBUTION
Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Yemen and Zimbabwe.
NOTES
From the 16 species composing the genus Zoodes Pascoe, 1867 , only Z. liturifer is reported from Namibia. Our collecting data from the month of January extends and completes the flight period of the species.
