ETYMOLOGY
Latin: with two cloudy stains.
SIZE
Previous records: 7–12 mm; Kuzikus specimens (n=11): 10–12 mm.

DISTRIBUTION
Widespread in the whole sub-Saharan Africa.
NOTE
From the 89 species composing the genus Apomecyna Dejean, 1821 , A. binubila is one of the four species occurring in Namibia. The occurrence of this species in Namibia was recorded for the first time by ADLBAUER (2001).
