ETYMOLOGY

Latin: mid-grey (like a mouse).

SIZE

Previous records: 9–14 mm; Kuzikus specimens (n=4): 9–11 mm.

PERIOD OF ADULT ACTIVITY

May–August and November–December; in Kuzikus: January–February.

DISTRIBUTION

Chad, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

NOTES

This species was recorded in Namibia for the first time by ADLBAUER (2001). Our collection data from the months of January and February extends and completes the flight period of the species.

September–October: in Kuzikus: April.
