ETYMOLOGY

Greek: στυπτικός, astringent.

SIZE

Previous records: 14–20 mm; Kuzikus specimens (n=2): 15–15.5 mm.

PERIOD OF ADULT ACTIVITY

February and December; in Kuzikus: end of March, April.

Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Republic of South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Our collecting data in the period from end of March to middle of April extends and completes the flight period of the species.
