ETYMOLOGY
Latin: with a “X” shaped sign.
SIZE
Previous records: 5–9 mm; Kuzikus specimen (n=1): 6.5 mm.
PERIOD OF ADULT ACTIVITY
March to April, and from August to November.

DISTRIBUTION
Angola, Kenya, Namibia, Republic of South Africa and Tanzania.
NOTES
From the five species composing the genus Paramecyna Aurivillius, 1908 , only P. x-signata is reported from Namibia. This specimen has been listed by ADLBAUER (2013) when reporting this species for the first time for the country.
