ETYMOLOGY

From Damaraland.

SIZE

Previous records: 15 mm; Kuzikus specimen (n=1): 13 mm.

March; in Kuzikus: April.

DISTRIBUTION

Only known from Namibia.

NOTES

Our collecting data in the beginning of month of April extends a little bit and completes the flight period of the species. From the 46 species composing the subgenus Dalterus Fairmaire, 1892 of genus Prosopocera Blanchard, 1845 , P. damarensis represents one of the seven species (with P. inermis , see below) occurring in Namibia.
