ETYMOLOGY
Greek: Πυγμαϊοι, Pygmies.
SIZE
Previous records: 7.5–9.5 mm; Kuzikus specimens (n=2): 8.5–9 mm.
PERIOD OF ADULT ACTIVITY
In Kuzikus: end of September – October.

DISTRIBUTION
Mozambique, Namibia, Republic of South Africa, Transvaal and Zimbabwe.
NOTES
From the five species composing the genus Ramularius Aurivillius, 1908 , only R. pygmaeus is reported from Namibia. Our collecting data in the period from end of September to second half of October specifies the flight period of the species.
