( Figures 4–5 View FIGURE 4 View FIGURE 5 )
Diagnosis. (1) Cephalic process reaching posterior margin of vertex ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ); (2) Frons with 2 longitudinal carinae ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ); (3) Tegmina with a black irregular transverse band at basal 1/3, not reaching the posterior margin ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ); (4) Hindwings red in basal half, along the posterior margin with one black brown broad band and light near the base ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ); (5) Gonostyli with apical margin curved in lateral view, tectiductus nearly trapezoidal in dorsal view ( Fig. 5E, F View FIGURE 5 ).
Description. Measurements. Body length: ♂ 19.0– 19.5 mm. Wingspan: ♂ 37.5–38.5 mm.
Head. Including eyes, distinctly narrower than pronotum ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ). Vertex yellowish-brown, quadrangular, about 2.0 times as broad as an eye; posterior margin with 2 brown spots, lateral and posterior margins carinate ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ). Cephalic process black, with margins yellowish-brown, short and flattened, reaching posterior margin of vertex ( Fig. 4D, F View FIGURE 4 ). Frons black, laterodorsal angles yellowish-brown; basal angles yellowish brown; 2 longitudinal carinae, not reaching fronto-clypeal suture; lateral margins carinate ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ). Clypeus black brown, disc protuberant, shorter than frons ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ). Labium black and elongate ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ). Eyes dark gray (in collection specimens), ocellus grey ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ). Antennae black brown ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ).
Thorax. Pronotum yellowish-brown, median carina distinct; on each side of median carina, with one brown spot at anterior margin; below eye, with one black brown spot near anterior margin ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ). Mesonotum yellowish-brown, with 3 longitudinal carinae; median carina straight, lateral carinae curved and reaching posterior margin; on both sides of median carina, with 3 black large spots along anterior margin, one nearly triangular black patch near each lateral margin, and two irregular black large spots on both sides of the disc along median carina ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ).
Tegmina. Elongate, orange yellow in basal 1/3 and costal area, transparent in apical 1/2, with many irregular black spots, a black irregular transverse band at basal 1/3, not reaching posterior margin ( Fig. 4A, B View FIGURE 4 ).
Hindwings. Shorter and broader than tegmina, red in basal half and transparent in apical half; posterior margin black brown but lighter near base ( Fig. 4A, B View FIGURE 4 ).
Legs. Black, with yellow ring-shaped markings ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ). Metatibiae with 5–6 lateral spines.
Abdomen. Black, posterior margin yellow on each segment ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ).
Male terminalia. Pygofer ( Py) with ventral margin sinuate in profile, slightly concave submedially, posterior margin slightly convex ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Aedeagus ( Ae) with reduced membranous endosoma ( em), endosomal processes ( ep) sclerotized, apical 1/3 exposed, terminally inflated ( Fig. 5C–E View FIGURE 5 ). Gonostyli ( G) subtriangular in lateral view, apical margin curved, in ventral view plates connected at base ( Fig. 5E, F View FIGURE 5 ). Connective ( Cn) filiform ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Tectiductus ( Te) nearly trapezoidal in dorsal view ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Anal tube ( An) elongated, base half of ventral margin slightly concave, apical margin truncated, gradually widening from base towards apex in dorsal view ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ).
Type material. Holotype: ♂ ( LYU), Yingjing , Mt. Niba, Ya’an, Sichuan, China, 19 Sep. 2022, coll. Li Chen.
Paratypes: 7♂♂ ( LYU), same data as holotype .
Etymology. The species epithet “ yingjingensis ” refers to the collection location of this species in Yingjing County.
Distribution. China ( Sichuan).
Remarks. This new species is close to L. kikuchii Kato, 1932 and L. balteatus sp. nov., but differs from them in: 1) pronotum of L. yingjingensis sp. nov. without black band on the disc ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ) (with black band on the disc of pronotum in L. kikuchii and L. balteatus sp. nov.); 2) L. yingjingensis sp. nov. has the cephalic process reaching posterior margin of vertex ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ) (cephalic process not reaching posterior margin of vertex in L. kikuchii and L. balteatus sp. nov.).
