Type locality. Philippines (Mindoro, or Luzon).
Type material. MNHN, France (AE 689-692) inspected by Michaelsen (1910: 84).
Records from Vietnam. Quang Binh (Quang Trach) ( Nguyen 1994).
Distribution. A cosmopolitan species, frequently reported from Philippines, Myanmar, Taiwan, Java, Hawaii, Mexico, USA, Malaysia, India, West Indies, Japan, Samoa, Fiji, Penang west of Malacca, and Grenada in the Antilles, Australia ( Blakemore 2002, 2007a).
Remarks. Further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
