The first abdominal tergite is not saddle-shaped and the gonarcus-parameres complex does not fit with those within the genus Disparomitus .
Material examined. Holotype ♂, Disparomitus rufocostatus Esben-Petersen, 1922 , DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO [Belgian Congo], Murungu Plateau (not located), alt. 1828 m ( 6000 ft), taken at light, T.A. Barns leg., Joicey Coll. ( NHMUK 1922–306 About NHMUK ).
