Comments. Mispila papuana Breuning, 1961 is a junior primary homonym, preoccupied by Mispila papuana Breuning, 1940 . Breuning published the replacement name Mispila ( s. str.) papuensis Breuning, 1963 , which is the species represented in the NHMUK collection.
