Notes

Agnetina flavescens is commonly referred to as the Midwestern Stone ( Stark et al. 2012). This species overlaps extensively in the USA with A. capitata , except it can be found further south to Alabama and Georgia ( Stark 2004, DeWalt et al. 2024). Previous studies of this species indicated a two-year life cycle similar to A. capitata ( Ernst and Stewart 1985) . The flight period for A. flavescens in New York ranges from mid-June to mid-July (Fig. 33 View Figure 33 ). Records are available from lower elevations ranging from 124-293 m asl (Fig. 34 View Figure 34 ) only from Level IV Ecoregion Finger Lakes Uplands and Gorges (60 d) (Fig. 35 f View Figure 35 f ). Further collections in the western portion of the state will likely yield additional distributional records.
