Type locality. C & W China.
Material examined. Laos, 1♂, Phou Khoun, 13. December. 2017, native collector (in the collection of Keitaro Eda, Japan).
Diagnosis. Anacronicta obscura ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 7–12 ) is very similar to the new species, A. albicans sp. nov. ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7–12 ) and A. infausta ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 7–12 ) but differs in having more contrasting dark elements in the wing pattern and an area of ochre-yellowish coloration of the inner part of the hindwings. In the structure of male genitalia ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 17–20 ), it differs by the shape of the valva and the position and size of the basal cornuti field of the vesica.
Distribution. India (Kashmir, Punjab, Kulu, Sultanpur), Pakistan, West China, North Vietnam. Thailand (Prov. Chaing Mai, Prow. Nan) ( Kononenko & Pinratana 2013); Laos ( Eda 2020).
