Cheumatopsyche copiosa Kimmins, 1956 View in CoL , new synonym

Cheumatopsyche copiosa Kimmins View in CoL was described from Uganda and was also recorded from Ghana and Senegal ( Gibbs 1973, Scott 1983), and Ivory Cost ( Statzner 1984). Cheumatopsyche columnata Martynov View in CoL was described from India, and is also known from Pakistan, Nepal and Yemen ( Malicky 1997a).

Type locality. India .

New Records: SUDAN: Khartum, near the Nile River , 1973 [ S. el Bashir] - 3 males ( NMNH) .

Remarks. One author of this study (JO) collected specimens of C. columnata from the Godavari River in India, Andhra Pradesh and they were identical with specimens from Sudan and Lake Victoria.
