DNA barcoding and phylogenetic analysis

Six DNA barcodes were obtained (Table II). The phylogenetic analysis ( Fig. 2 View Figure 2 ) shows the voucher specimen DNA barcodes (highlighted in green) and the sequences from Omar et al. (2021) (highlighted in yellow) clustered in clades with 100% bootstrap support. The D. orientalis clade nested within the genus Dermogenys . The L. micracanthus clade resolved as a sister clade to Pelates sexlineatus , nested within the Family Terapontidae .

OR829332 for Dermogenys orientalis and OR829336-OR829336 for Lagusia micracanthus . The voucher specimens will be placed in the Hasanuddin University Natural History Collection.
